My first day in office as the Fifth Executive Governor of Ogun State.
This morning, the Deputy Governor, Engr (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele and I resumed for official duties at the government office, Oke Mosan in Abeokuta. We were ushered into the premises with thunderous welcome and excitement from all the civil servants.
After inspecting a guard of honour mounted by the Nigerian Police, the Head of Service, Engr. Ishmail Bisiriyu introduced all the Permanent Secretaries in charge of all government Ministries and Parastatals to me.
I was later taken round the offices and ministries within the state Secretariat before settling down for other duties in my office.
It is indeed a new dawn in our dear state.
Also in another Instagram post ,he wrote:
On my first day in office, I met with all Permanent Secretaries with a view to having firsthand and detailed briefing on the current position of the state from different ministries and other government agencies.
I also had a Security Meeting with all Service Chiefs in Ogun State as we jointly assess critical issues bordering on safety of lives and properties of our people.
Summarily, I spent most part of this day to settle down in office as we hit the ground running with our strong resolve to give Ogun State, a focused and qualitative governance and to create the enabling environment for a public private sector partnership, which is fundamental to the creation of an enduring economic development and individual prosperity for the people of our dear state.
Ìgbéga Ìpínlę Ogun, àjoşe wa ni.
